Welcome to my Responsible Business Blog!

So, I'm starting another blog.... except this time it's connected to something I'm doing in school. I'm currently a first-year student in The George Washington University's Global MBA program. The GW School of Business has a strong reputation in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility. It is currently ranked #13 in the Beyond Grey Pinstrips survey, which ranks schools according to how well they integrate issues of social and environmental sustainability into the curriculum.

In keeping with its reputation, GW just recently launched a Certificate in Responsible Management (CRM). To get the certificate, students show their commitment to the Six Principles of PRME through class work, extracurricular activities and community involvement. Students also keep a blog documenting their activities and learning. I've decided to pursue the CRM. I'll end up doing most of the requirements regardless, so I might as well receive recognition for it! My first community activity is on Nov. 21, when I take part in the Help the Homeless Walk-a-thon to benefit Miriam's Kitchen.

I look forward to sharing my responsible journey with you!

  1. Hi Amy: Nice to hear about your (and GW's) interest in promoting social and environmental responsibility. I attended an excellent forum on Sustainable Fisheries at the China Seafood Show. I look forward to future blogs. Keep up the good work.
